Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants,
toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987,
it pioneered the concept
of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.

Tuition Assistance

Merry Music Makers Tuition Assistance

Music is for everybody!  Please don’t hesitate to sign up if your budget is tight.  We can work something out together.

Requesting tuition assistance is simple.  Please fill our Financial Assistance Form and return it to our office. The deadline for Tuition Assistance is 14 days prior to the start of the semester. All requests for Tuition Assistance should be made before registering for a class.

Some possibilities for tuition help include the following:

  1. Split payments

Pay the full tuition, but break it into two or more payments spaced over the course of the 12-week semester.

  1. Barter

Some families have chosen to barter their help. This can cover up to 50% of tuition costs at a rate of $8 per hour. Some examples of this are:

Special events

o        Spend part or most of a day in a Music Together® booth at a local festival.  You’ll supervise children’s play with Music Together instruments, and hand out brochures and other free materials to parents.  You don’t have to do any selling, just enjoy being with children and their grownups, and playing with the Music Together songs.  Dates are available throughout the year and include birthday parties.  This is a lot of fun!

Deliver brochures

o        Drop in at pediatricians, children’s clothing stores, coffee shops, and any other places you can think of where parents of young children go, and ask to leave a few brochures at their front counter.  No selling involved, and you can do this while you’re doing your own errands.

Research

o        Help locate playgroups, neighborhood associations, Mother’s Day Out programs, etc.  This is a great at-home barter possibility, especially if you’re good at internet searches or networking.

Your own talents…

o        Are you gifted at photography, scrapbooking, sewing, using computers, writing, cooking, party planning, or maybe something else unusual and wonderful?  (It may seem ordinary to you, but wonderful to me!)  Let’s talk about barter possibilities!

  1. Help from other sources

Many grandparents or other family members are thrilled to offer Music Together classes as a special birthday or holiday gift for a child they love.  Grandparents, friends, and other special adults in your child’s life are always welcome to visit class.   It’s especially lovely when they can see how much fun their gift provides!  Gift certificates are always available and can be personalized with any message and any gift amount.

  1. Reduced tuition

Pay what you honestly can, remembering that this is a livelihood for those of us who provide this music experience for your family.

Once your form has been received, we will set up a time for you to meet with us in the studio and chose the best option for your situation.
